an obsession with meter
It all boils down to
an obsession with meter
(direction for thoughts).

About My Verse:
I write this haiku
as it falls into my head
by muse or whimsy.
Welcome Note:
What is this to me?
Emotions, triumphs, failures,
and journeys through time.
With rhythm to words,
I wrap my personal world
into packages:
brown paper and twine
give integrity to an
otherwise spreading
sense of amorphous
visitations and nearly
forgotten moments.
Who Is She?
Haiku Betty lives
near the Great Lakes in the land
of the free and the
home of the brave with
her two children, three frogs, cat,
and several houseplants.
In addition to
writing haiku blog entries,
she is an artist,
social activist,
biology instructor,
and outspoken voice
in certain circles
of this tangled web we weave.
Enjoy it with her.
